Butterfly Card Trio - Pinkfresh Studio YouTube Live

Good morning! I'm stopping by today to share a trio of cards I created this week for a Pinkfresh Studio YouTube Live. I used one of the newest releases, paired up with a very old die set! While I planned on making two cards, things came together so well, that I was able to create all 3 of these cards! You can watch the video replay HERE if you want to see more details and watch these cards come together.

Here is the replay of the live video if you'd like to watch it here:

I heat embossed the stamp set for Fluttering Butterflies in cream embossing powder - just a hint of a neutral color that was kind of fun! I then ink blended over the layers using different ink families in some fresh citrus tones. The leaves were a mix of turquoises and deep greens - love that color blend! I die cut all those lovely pieces, and then began assembling my cards. I used the Inverted Stitched Scallop Circle die to create two different windows for my card fronts, then used the negative pieces to create a bonus card! For that one, I used the Dotted Chevron coverplate die to add some texture to the background. I used a mix of white and cream cardstock - one of my favorite color combos. Sentiments were stamped in black from the same butterfly set, and also Artsy Floral and Vines and Roses. After the live, I finished off with some clusters of jewels in Glacier, Peach Fuzz, and Ballet Slipper for some sparkle! Here are some more photos of each of these cards up close:

Floral Pattern Paper Birthday Card Duo - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Stopping by today to share a couple of birthday cards I made recently, featuring a couple of lovely sentiment stamp sets from Simon Says Stamp - paired up with one of my favorite things - pattern paper!

I started off with two pieces of pattern paper from Pinkfresh Sunshine on my Mind 6x6 paper pad. I trimmed the floral to an A2 size, then cut it diagonally in half to make it easy to split between the two cards. I trimmed the striped paper to an A2 width, then trimmed angled strips to tuck behind the floral paper to add some contrast, but not waste any more of the paper than needed. Then it was time to add some fun sentiments! I used the newer Birthday Basics stamp set with the coordinating dies for the main sentiment, popped up on foam adhesive of course. And then used an older set called Tiny Words Birthday for the secondary sentiments. Finished off with a few Iridescent Clear Drops for a touch of sparkle! Here are more photos of these cards:

Layered Floral Mother's Day Cards - Simon Says Stamp Be Bold Release

Hello! I've got one last set of cards to share this month using the new Be Bold Release from Simon Says Stamp - the other posts have been building my birthday card stash, but today I'm switching to Mother's Day cards. While this year will be a bittersweet Mother's Day - since my mom passed a couple weeks ago, and it will be my first one without her - I still have so many wonderful women in my life that have filled that roll in some way over the years as my mom's Parkinson's and the associated dementia slowly stole her away. So while there was a sadness while I finished these cards, there is also so much thankfulness for each and every woman in my life - and fellow mothers who understand just how wonderful and hard the role of being a mother is!

For these cards I used the new Pretty Petals set, and since I used my MISTI to stamp them, I lined everything up and stamped in a few color combos. I figure once you've done the work, it only takes a few seconds more to stamp a few times and end up with even more cards. I love how fun it is to try different color combos! I then die cut them with the coordinating die, curled up the edges slightly, and adhered to a white cardbase with liquid glue, so there was a tiny bit of dimension, but not a ton of foam layers. I let the stems hang off the edges slightly, then trimmed the excess off. I stamped the sentiments, then popped those up with foam adhesive - had to have a tiny bit of dimension on there, right? I also rounded off one corner for interest, then finished off with a few fun ombre pearl embellishments from Honey Bee stamps - so cute, and they matched perfectly! Here are more photos of the finished cards:

Birthday Floral Prints - Simon Says Stamp Be Bold Release

Hello! Stopping by to share a couple more cards using the new Be Bold Release from Simon Says Stamp - this was definitely the month of sets, but this time just a set of two! And...you may have noticed the last couple days that I have been updating my stash of birthday cards, and these are no exception!

For these cards, I used the new Flower Block stamp set, and paired it with the new Lush Leaves wafer die, cut from ivory cardstock. I used the previously released Detail Petal plate to add some texture to the background. I did two different color combos for my cards - both used one of my new FAVORITE inks that I discovered from Simon Says Stamp called Buttercream. It is the prettiest ivory color - I love it! I finished off with a few Champagne glitter drops for some extra sparkle! Here are more photos of these finished cards:

Floral Birthday Wishes - Simon Says Stamp Be Bold Release IG Hop

Good morning! Today I'm joining a fun Instagram hop to celebrate the Be Bold Release from Simon Says Stamp! Lots of inspiration to be found, and some great prizes as well! Head over to my Instagram HERE to check it out! But as always with an Insta hop, there are only so many details you can get in that tiny caption, so I always like to do a full blog post with ALL the details!

I used 3 different colors of Concord and 9th cardstock, and then chose Pawsitively Saturated inks that coordinated with the cardstock, tone on tone, but slightly deeper, I blended around the outer edges of the panels, and then in the centers of each flower. This helped the embossing to pop! I added some splatters of the white gold color from my Starry Colors palette, a few sparkly Iridescent clear drops to the centers of the flowers, and some birthday sentiments from the Birthday Basics stamp set, cut with the coordinating dies, and mounted with foam adhesive. Here are more photos of these finished cards:
